    Congrats Kurt!!! Well done!!!

I know that in NY the scores come in 2 days after the exam between 4 and 5 am. Usually I cant sleep that night checking my phone every 5 mins!! Also break into my happy dance waking everyone up. It is worth it!! lol

Hey thanks, Daniel!   How are your exams going?  Also -- how is your home rehab going?

    Kurt,

It hasn't been easy. Its been a really slow process dealing with the insurance, work, exams and life with 3 kids, but its going. Thanks for asking. The exams are going well, took PDD and failed, it was like a stab to my heart, but what the heck right, at least I know what the exam is all about. Took PA this week and PASS!!! So PDD Retake in December and I'm done with this. Getting tired of studying every single day lol.

Big difference between PPD & PDD is specifics. For the retake I will grind down Architect Graphic Standards and Olin's Construction. CD was the only section I failed in the exam. So I will go over the 2 books I didn't read or skim before.

Hope all well with you, and Damn dude 5 for 5 Very Very Nice!!!!! One drink tonight will be in your name LOL

Daniel -- glad the house project and insurance sounds like it's at least moving forward.   I still maintain that for all of us with our stories of how busy we are while trying to pass the A.R.E., you still have the topper story -- flooded house -- wow!  And, you lost all of your study books in the flood!  I could see a lot of folks giving the hell up at that point.

Also good to hear your are also down to one exam.  That is awesome.  I feel like you and me are among the last of the group of candidates that started pretty early in the "new" 5.0 process.  My first exam was in March, which qualified me for early tester benefits on one exam -- CE.   I did four tests in a short time, but then got sidetracked -- but for very different reasons than you!

You have been very successful with the ARE exams -- so you're worrying me a bit with PDD!  Bear in mind that I am definitely no genius -- so how much time do you think I should study for PDD?  I've already paid for the final test, and thought about taking a crack at it in three weeks or so -- does that sound feasible, do you think?

    Kurt,

That's funny men. Everyone has their own tragedy while going thru the ARE. lol

Go for it, if you really got your concepts down from PPD and you have experience with Construction documents you will be good with 3 weeks. For me was more that what I study or did not for the exam. I had a stomach flu or something, couldn't sleep the night before, got to the exam very tired and feeling sick, when i finished, I didn't feel good about it and just left with 35 mins on the clock. On the bright side, i know what to expect for the next and hopefully last exam.

It is a very visual exam, lots of graphic questions not many structural. More about details and systems that concepts. However, I think once you understand a concept it will be easier to get to the right answer.

    Good luck!!!

Thanks, Benjamin -- I was thinking you might check back in after your two big events.  Congratulations on completing the ARE!  That is huge.  Well done, sir!  And if I can ask, everything good with your new family addition?
