Passing and other Adventures
I just want to encourage you all to keep at your study schedules, the learning process, and all the little every day things that add up to you becoming a better architect and person. This is not an easy process.
I am married, have my own design firm (now a licensed firm!), and have two teenage daughters. My wife is in school full-time (online interior design) so the majority of our livelihood rests on my shoulders. In the middle of all that, I decided to get busy studying to pass my last two licensure obstacles - PPD and PDD exams. I was in a position between projects to study full-time for four weeks; 2 weeks for PPD and then 2 weeks for PDD. I passed both and am now in a slight fog on the "other side". If I can do it, you all can too!
Remember that you are not trying to "learn" everything. You are trying to pass these exams. There's a huge difference between feeling like you need to memorize a million specific things versus having a broad understanding/comprehension of a lot of subjects/topics. If you can get this, it will change how you study, and the process can actually become enjoyable (mostly).
So do it and do it well. Then help someone else.

Yes thanks for posting this. I'm in a similar situation. Been working for 13 years and have put these tests off for too long, and am now just a PPD and PDD away from being done. I have two little kids at home and finding time to study is very difficult, but I'm keeping at it. Good to hear that others in similar situations are doing it! Congrats on being done, hope to be right there with you soon - middle of March is the target!
