    Congratulations!

And not to count chickens just yet, but you seem to be making great progress...

Personally, I employed the brilliant strategy of taking first the exams that will report last...  I know...genius...

Someone will ask, so it might as well be me...!  How/what did you study for it?

Congrats! My heart started racing when I saw your post, because it meant my results were probably posted as well, and....

I passed too! Was really not expecting that.

Kurt, I broke down and subscribed to the Black Spectacles videos (prefer audio/visual for soaking in lots of info), read relevant sections of Building Codes Illustrated, reviewed IBC (my very old version), and various SPD materials from 4.0. Also brushed up on SWPPP, but didn't seem relevant. Felt pretty confident about the content, but since there isn't much in the way of practice tests for 5.0, the biggest adjustment seems to be with getting through voluminous amount of material in the new format. While the new format is indeed a little more "intuitive", it's also just time consuming.

Congrats guys! I am happy for you all.

I got close but unfortunately didn't make it. I wasn't able to finish the exam and missed the bar on the building code section. All good, will pick it up on the next round with some more studying. I did only give myself two weeks after taking the CE and got slammed at work so only really studied for a week, lol. Next round will give myself 3-4 weeks which i did for Practice management and had a passing score.

will drink one for you guys : )

Charles -- thanks so much for your study methods overview!

I agree about the "voluminous amount of material in the new format".  Even for PcM -- next for me -- the reference materials are 100's of pages.  (I can't even think about the staggering list for PPD and PDD yet...)  I'm taking PA right after PcM, so I really appreciate the input from successful candidates like you!

Me too!  I am celebrating big because this makes 4/4 for me and I was most worried about this one because I ran out of time and I bumped it up at the last minute to get incentives so I studied for about 4 hours total!  I am so excited because I am really confident about CE and PjM so I feel like getting my license  is almost a done deal for me!  My goal was to finish by the end of the year but I think it will be done by my birthday in May!  Congrats to today's passers!

Heather -- Congratulations!  Great job on 4/4!  I've taken only CE and PjM -- my feeling is that if you passed the other 4, you will most likely have very little trouble on your last two...

Congrats! to those of you who passed.  Did you use any particular study materials that helped you. Especially with Codes and Regulations.  Code and Regulations is where I'm weak.  My exam in Saturday. Any thoughts?

I passed this one the other day. My suggestion is to keep the ARE 5.0 Handbook nearby at all times; always verify that you're studying and practicing content that is described in the Handbook. Many study guides don't follow the handbook thoroughly.

Also, for timing, I always go straight to the Case Studies first. Together, the two Case Studies should take no more than 80 min to complete. The rest of the questions will average 1.3 to 1.5 minutes each. The reason for taking the case studies first is because they are much harder to answer quickly, and require more thought, compared to the one-off questions that can be scanned quickly when running out of time.
