Hi Valentina, I'm working on it. Have a large bulk of approved hours and but have only done one exam (PcM) so far.

Great. Are you licensed in another country?

Yes, you have to be in order to get onto the program. Otherwise you follow the same path as the locals.

cool, my credentials have been with NCARB for a week. do you remember how long it took them to respond/load them on your report?

I'm waiting for a result on my last exam, then could be done.

    Thanks.

It took about a month as I recall, although I was posting from Ireland. I know I ended up calling them as well, and that seemed to move things along a little bit more quickly.

Hi, I've just started this process too. Waiting for my documents to be sent to NCARB, and starting to gather some material to make the first ARE test. I understand that the process could be overwhelming...

Hi all, I have just started pursuing the foreign architect path to certification. I am waiting for my documents (transcripts & credential verification form) to be sent to NCARB. Can we start taking the exams immediately once NCARB confirms I am eligible for that path or do we have to complete AXP and then start taking ARE?

Once you're eligible, you're eligible! AXP and ARE are independent of each other, you just need to get them done both whenever you can.

I have received email from NCARB to confirm my eligibility to pursue this path. So next step is to pay $1000 for registration (since registered foreign architect)... so you guys paid the $1000 and then checked the eligibility with a particular jurisdiction for initial licensure or what process did you all follow? Any information / thoughts /experience would be helpful. Thanks

    Hi Anju,

Was your original license from India? Did COA ask you to turn your license in to their Delhi office to send the Credential Verifying Form to NCARB? I feel completely at sea in this process and would appreciate some help. Thanks!

I am registered architect in India and currently working in Irving, Texas. I have chosen Foreign architect path, and in the process of requesting the appropriate organizations in India to send transcript and credential verification forms to NCARB.

I am facing trouble requesting the credential authority (COA) to send my credential details to NCARB as their rules are bit confusing to me. Can anyone who have already got their form submitted through COA  guide me please? email me @ soni.naidu@gmail.com

I would also like to know how different is Foreign architect path from the regular path. By acquiring license can we work on USA projects and practice architecture from home country or any part of the world?

    Thanks
