I have not taken CE yet, but I have taken PcM and PjM, and will be taking CE next week. I have been skimming CSI Manual of Practice, and have found a lot of overlap with what I read in the AHPP while studying for the previous two divisions. However, I do like the way the material is broken down - its much more thorough and straightforward than the AHPP, in my opinion, so nice to refresh and clarify material already studied as I prep for CE. That said, if you have AHPP, I don't know that it's required reading.

When are you taking CE? I might be able to help you out. Shoot me an email at erkeough AT gmail.

Daniel - similar to the IBC building codes and a few other publications, you can often find the CSI online in PDF format. That said, I read the applicable chapters of the CSI for C&E -- I don't think it was worthwhile.

I have scheduled C & E for June 9, having passed PcM and PjM in the past 5 weeks. Any further recommendations on the CSI Manual of Practice? Is it necessary to pass the exam and is it a book that I should have anyway?

    Thanks!

I passed CE without buying it. I think the AHPP will suffice if you have strong knowledge of the AIA contracts and have some experience going through construction administration. Good luck! And congrats on your other passes!
