I've been reading the Ballast ARE5.0 book from PPI, and I think it's awesome!

I feel that the information is presented in a much more clear and concise manner than the last Ballast book.

But I guess we'll find out on test day :)

Hi Andrew, If you have not started taking any tests than I would say Yes to the bundle because it will be a nice foundation of information.  However, please be aware that you will still probably pick up other material.  I have taken all but one test now and I have found looking at the reference list in the handbook very useful.  Some books that appear under several topics would not hurt adding to your library.  Good Luck!

    Hi Andrew,

FYI Amazon's got 'em new from $218...the exam book is about $89, although I swear I found mine for about $50 bones.  Here's a link:

    Good Luck Man!

I have not put this strategy to the test (haven't taken my exams yet) but I skipped the Ballast book and just purchased the Practice Exam and Practice Problems books ($95 each) from Ballast to supplement my studying of the NCARB reference list books.
