PDD practice exam Q: Case study 1, stair treads
I am at a loss for how to get to the calculations shown in this question's explanation. I have pasted the question's text and the relevant stair section here (the section is in two images since I couldn't fit it all on my screen at a readable scale).
Where do the two starting measurements in the Explanation come from? I am referring to the 10'-1" and the 4'-7" values. I don't see those values in any dimensions on the stair section. At the basement level I see a 10'-3 1/2" vertical dimension and no dimension with a value near 4'-7". Are there calculations I must do in order to arrive at the measurements given in the Explanation? Are those measurements given in another drawing or other documents in this case study? I would like to know the source of these numbers.

Horizontal dimensions are typically shown on floor plans on a set of CD.
