Why is the answer E not correct? I wish the explanation could also say why the wrong answer is wrong in general, not just state the obvious facts.

E is not correct because it’s the responsibility of the GC to figure out the scheduling of when their sub-contractors can come out and fix the nonconforming or broken items. If the items are non conforming to the drawings there really shouldn’t be any cost implications. The architect helps with preliminary pricing in SD and DD and design schedules but we are concluding CA in this scenario which again is the GCs responsibility at this point of the project.
Figuring out why the rubber bases isn’t sticking and determining how to fix is also more means and method in my opinion.
