Why does this question say that the Owner and Contractor execute the AIA contract? From my understanding, the Architect and the Contractor are the ones who execute the AIA contract and the Owner received the result.

  The NCARB answer is correct. The contractor and owner signs the CONSTRUCTION contract and that is the way contractor is hired for EVERY project.

  The architect has NO power to sign the construction contract. The owner signs a DESIGN contract to hire the architect.
