CE Practice Exam #47
Could anybody explain why "head flashing" would be a correct answer above "shims"? Wouldn't a poorly installed shim cause water damage issues in the area shown? (maybe it is unintentionally angled inward or has some slope to it causing other elements to fail?) The area in the photo would make you think of sill flashing, which is part of the same detail that includes shims. I don't have much experience regarding this so I am genuinely just curious why this couldn't be an answer choice.

Hi Martin,
So for this question you are looking for the 3 items that have to do with WATER in the detail, which are weeps, dams, and flashing.
Just break down the question into its simplest terms.
Strikes are door parts, and shims are used to level things, so those answers can easily be ruled out.
Hope this helps!
