Why do we have to use a last slide with an example where someone actually failed? Very encouraging guys!

It's not about not encouraging...it is about being helpful.  Using a failing score report allows us to show how the reschedule part will look and work.  If it was a pass, there is no reason to reschedule!

Is there a way to look to see if appointments for the 5.0 tests are available before the $100 gift card cut off date (1/31/17) without transitioning from 4.0 to 5.0, or do you have to make the transition before being able to schedule? Thanks!

Hey Darci...you have to transition to ARE 5.0 before being able to schedule an exam.  The scheduling portion is actually done through Prometric as shown above.

Thanks @Ryan NCARB!  I figured as much, but just thought I'd ask the question.

Is there any way to see test center schedule availability for ARE 5.0 without paying for the exam first?

If I paid for an open seat and were unable to schedule a test that year because of extenuating circumstances, would I be able to get a refund?

Kyle, seat credits are good for one year.  If you are really not able schedule an exam for an entire year due to "extenuating circumstances" then NCARB can work with you.  However, extenuating circumstances would likely be something seriously medical related, not that you just couldn't find a seat time you wanted.

For some reason none of this is an option for me. When I go to my "exams" tag I only see options to schedule for decisions of the 4.0 test. Im not sure why I cannot register or even see the option of taking the 5.0 tests. Have you come across this problem before?

    Alexander,

You currently have all ARE 4.0 eligibilities.  If you want to begin taking ARE 5.0 exams, then you need to first transition to ARE 5.0.  See HERE on how to do that.

What pains me is the fact that we now have to pay BEFORE knowing open dates. And before I hear all of the "you'll pay the money anyway", real world circumstances can get in the way and hurt the ability to pay bills and such.

Is there a way to pay for all my exams at once, before I schedule?

    Hey Allison,

Yes!  Since you are buying a "seat credit" that can be scheduled for anytime within the next year, you can absolutely buy all of your exams upfront and then scheduled when you are ready.  Just remember that seat payment is good for one year.

    Thanks Ryan!

When I initially clicked on "pay and schedule", I wanted to get a feel for the system, so I only paid for one seat.  I don't remember seeing an option to purchase multiple seats, though.  Now I have the option to "schedule open seat" for any one of the exams, but there is no more option to "pay and schedule".  Are there instructions on how to purchase more seats without having to schedule an exam first?

    Allison,

I looked into this a bit more for you.  You can buy all of your seat credits now like I mentioned before, but it does require to schedule before buying the next seat credit.  One way to do this would be to buy a seat credit, schedule that exam for 10 or 11 months out, then go back and buy another seat credit, schedule that exam for 10 or 11 months out, and keep repeating.  When you are ready to take a division, you just reschedule that exam for earlier and you are ready to go.  Remember there is no penalty for rescheduling 30 days prior to a scheduled exam. Does that all make sense?

"Bulk" purchases is a functionality we are hoping to add in the future, but we just don't have it yet.

OH, NO. Well, I may not be as bad off ice people testing today, or Monday, or yesterday, but I have a test scheduled with Prometric this week. It was scheduled through the MY NCARB, RECORD, EXAM interface, I believe the only way to schedule an exam, actually. My NCARB RECORD shows my first, maiden and surname. My Prometric reservation shows only first and surname.
